Q. When can the funds be withdrawn if the shares are sold or positions are closed today?
If you sell shares or close positions today, your funds will be available for withdrawal depending on the segment and the settlement cycle:
- Equity Delivery (Cash Market): Settlement cycle: T+1 day Withdrawable the next working day after the trade.
- Intraday Trades/Derivatives (F&O, Currency, Commodities): Profit proceeds are typically settled by T+1 or T+2, depending on exchange norms.
Funds may be reflected earlier for trading but are withdrawable only after settlement.
